Will there be open player registration?

YES, once coaches have their invites completed we will open up the registration to individuals that would like to play.

Are games stop time?

Yes, all games will be stop time. Clock will only run after a 6 goal lead in the 2nd half, it will then stop when the lead drops to 5.

What about jerseys/socks?

ALL PLAYERS will get jerseys & socks with their registration.

How many players per team?

Teams WILL have 9F 6D and 2G

Starting in 2026 we will be using the following age classifications for our Spring Showcase, this is following the USA Hockey age classifications (NOT MN or ND age levels)

8U - PLAYERS BORN IN 2017/2018

10U - PLAYERS BORN IN 2015/2016

12U - PLAYERS BORN IN 2013/2014

14U - PLAYERS BORN IN 2011/2012

16U BOYS (modified) - PLAYERS BORN IN 2010 and upper 2011 skaters ***NO 2009 PLAYERS***

16U GIRLS - PLAYERS BORN IN 2009/2010

We will have two divisions per age level, Major and Minor and there will be a LIMITED number of team spots available. 

MAJOR LEVEL - This will be for Upper B1, A and AA level players

MINOR LEVEL - This will be average B1, B2 and C level players

NOTE: Player skill levels vary quite a bit in our area, skill level does vary based on where kids skate. Players may be on an A/B1 team in their association but that A/B1 team may not be as good as a team from other associations. Please make sure you enter your team in the correct division. We do not want teams to enter lower divisions just to win the tournament, we want both levels to be competitive.

The 2026 Spring Showcase Tournament provides a great opportunity to bring together some of the best youth hockey players from across North America for a fun weekend of hockey!

The Spring Showcase has had players from North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Arkansas, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado,  Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta.
